It was such an honor and privilege to have participated in the “Celebrating Black History” event at LMI on February 14th! How fitting that it occured on valentine’s day because I love discussing and hearing others’ perspectives on black history - especially arts and artists focused on black culture and love. This event was sponsored by LMI’s Minorities Ethnicities (ME) group, and it was a spectacular event!

The artists panel, with artist “B/UE ROBIN” and “Donavan Lyons” as well as myself, responded to thought-provoking and provocative questions from the audience. It was a great discussion, with a few fun activities sprinkled in. Upon conclusion of the panel discussion, artists and attendees were directed to another room that displayed a full-on art exhibition of works by the featured artists.
